About Us Alexandra C. Ross BA, MA, Level II CD Owner Many years ago I made a lifestyle choice to live in Pemberton, play in Whistler, but work as well as part time living in Vancouver. Whistler and Pemberton are indeed magical places to live and play. The Pemberton valley, surrounding mountains, lakes and forests are stunning and I truly consider this place a paradise. Working in Vancouver provides me with a needed balance between the country and city lifestyle. My experience in Property Management, Hotel and Real Estate covering everything from Sales, Marketing, Management and Operations helps me to grasp the workflow and daily challenges of a company life. Being a mother of a boy and two older stepdaughters helped me to understand the daily challenges of a family. In addition running my own company and volunteering for my community and Association taught me the amount of pressure one can encounter, trying to balance family and business. Growing up in Europe gave me the opportunity to develop a strong work ethic, to appreciate diversity and experience the variety of the European traditions and culture. I am fluent in English, German and conversational French and Spanish. I further explored the South American and the North American culture. Back in Germany I completed my Masters in German Literature in addition to a degree in Psychology, and Political Science. Prior to my Masters I received my Bachelor degree in Business and Economics and completed an apprenticeship in Retail Management. I basically started organizing when I was 14 years old at my Dads' advertising agency, consisting of 20 employees. While attending University I maintained my own freelance consulting, organizing and virtual assistant business. I was contracted by for example: Insurance, Real Estate, and Property Management companies, as well as for an Osteopathy Healing Centre, an Advertising Agency, and Music Producer. Besides the usual office organization, I organized events, meetings, conferences, designed ads & brochures, translated text, edited (including speeches), organized display companies to get ready for tradeshows, and I helped my friends organizing and decorating their houses. My passion is to create inviting living and working environments in order for people to experience harmony and balance. To provide training for the time and project challenged individual to re-gain control, focus, and clarity. In addition helping CEO’s, Managers, small business owners/ Entrepreneurs to set up business for success; streamline for efficient workflow, prioritization and effective communication. See workshop section for more information. I received a certificate of completion as a Professional Organizer, in 2003 at HG Academy in Burbank, California. Today, Chronic Disorganization as well as ADD and Hoarding becomes more and more an issue around the world. Therefore I decided to build on my Psychology degree and educated myself to specialize in Chronic Disorganization. I earned my level II certificate in Chronic Disorganization and took pretty much all classes related to hoarding at NSGCD (National Study Group for Chronic Disorganization in USA). We are able to help people with certain disorders to get a handle on life and making it more enjoyable in applying positive elements in their environments and simply give them back control over space, clutter and time in providing them with tools to be able to maintain organization and being able to function on a daily base in a balanced and harmonious way. We also offer a program for Professional Organizers that are focused on the hands-on part of the organizing profession, to step in for the emotional part of clients challenge with de-cluttering.
